Player Profile: Jaiden Chase

Finding a freshman playing 6A Varsity sports isn't very likely in the Sunflower League. The Olathe Northwest volleyball team, however, has a standout freshman who makes a big impact on the court.

Jaiden Chase is the starting lIbero for the Ravens, and has been playing that position since first grade. Her first start came against nationally-ranked St. James Academy in the season opener.
"It was nerve wracking because we were playing Saint James and they're number one in the nation, but it was a great experience."

Chase has high hopes for the season as she wants to win the state title, and thinks they can with the leadership of Tess Reid and Maddie Schneider.

"Tess (Reid) and Maddie (Schneider) are the leaders and they work hard and know what they're doing, so if we follow behind their leadership I think we have a great shot."

Chase believes they can accomplish their goals if they come together as a team and fix the mental mistakes.
"With the great group of girls I play with, we can accomplish anything and I know we will have a successful season this year."
