Article Review

Technology is increasing everyday and each year a new form of it is created and used. A couple decades ago you could not watch TV through the night. They had their start and stop time. Now you can stop, record, and rewind any kind of show or movie not only on TV but your computer and game console. Storytellers are not only trying to reach out to their customers through TV but mobile devices, computers, consoles, etc.

The author is arguing the effects of Digital Innovation and the future of storytelling. Storytelling is now seen on many other things other than just TV. This is proven when they sit down with Kevin Spacey and interview him about the same topic. Story telling is being transformed. They use a lot of sources to back up their opinion. They give us a concise argument. One of the only problems is that they do not show the other side. The authors conclusion is saying the companies that build close relationships with their customers are the ones who are most successful.

The argument does support his main points with the evidence used. The evidence is pretty convincing considering it is clear and has the support to back it up and make it valid. If new technology is coming out it will set me back a little because I will need to learn how to work with the new technology. This article did not catch my attention it is good to read but I was not interested by it.

I think this affects more convergence students because their work is more related to HBO, Netflix and CBS broadcasting, than to us SID students.
